THE SILICON VALLEY MARATHON® NAMES SILICON VALLEY CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION AS OFFICIAL CHARITY PARTNER

August 2, 2004.  San Jose, California - Evolve Sports is pleased to announce that the Silicon Valley Children's Hospital (SVCH) Foundation will be the Official Charity Partner of The Silicon Valley MarathonR through 2005, and that SVCH Foundation Board Member and Olympic Gold Medalist Brandi Chastain will serve as Honorary Chair of the October 31, 2004 event.

SVCHF has a few fundraising events each year. In the past, we have had wonderful fundraising events organized and managed by Linda Durnell. We have had art auctions, a soccer clinic, and a CyberRays game fundraiser, a casino night, and a marathon. They are a lot of fun to help organize, work at, or come as a participant.
